This week’s meditation - Telecommunications
I have learnt how to fix a slow or non-existent internet connection. Simply turning the computer and modem off, leaving them that way for a while and then turning them back on will, nine times out of ten fix the problem. Although it takes a while for the computer to shut down and then restart it is obviously worth it to have a decent line. I don't know what causes the connection to slow down but I do know that turning the power off generally resets and restores. So here's the question - if our personal connection with God is a bit sluggish, could the same principles be applied? Do we have a couple of switches that could be turned off to facilitate a rest and restore? But in fact for us it's the opposite, we do not want to turn off our connection we want to turn it up to invigorate our relationship with God. We increase our connection through the Holy Spirit, He is right here with us and we only have to open our heart to feel his mighty power.
This week let us thank God that he wants to retain the strongest connection to us that is possible.
