This week’s meditation - What's happening at your Church
The other day I was going out in the late afternoon and wanted the dinner to be cooked when I got home. So for the first time I tried using the auto start on my oven. The process for starting the auto cook was a bit round-about. Instead of entering a start and finish time, I had to enter a cooking duration and finish time. The oven then worked out the start time – same thing I guess but I must admit I was a little sceptical that I would set it up correctly. When I arrived home I thought the only thing I am going to smell when I walk in the door is disappointment. But, I was wrong – when I walked in I was greeted with the lovely aroma of dinner cooking – terrific! I love it when a plan comes together. Next time I want to use auto start I won’t worry, it has passed the test and I will be confident that it will work. Am I the only one to find it hard to have faith in some new things and processes? That is why I am pleased that God is not new and the process to connect with him is not convoluted.
Thankyou Lord that you make yourself so available to us. The path to you is direct and we are all invited to walk upon it. Amen
